The mocha colored coat is a darker variation of the Burmese pointed albiminism. Similar to other versions of partial albinism, the mutated tyrosinase enzyme is temperature sensitive and creates pigment only on extremities. However, the torso in this phenotype is darker than in the characteristic Burmese coat. The mocha coat color can be seen in some Burmese cats.
