White feet are associated with a recessive allele of the KIT gene originally found in Birman cats. This genotype disrupts migration of melanocytes to the tips of the paws, producing white feet, often referred to as "gloves" or "boots". White feet can also be a product of the white spotting allele of the KIT gene.
