Bobtail

Trait overview

A shortened tail, or bobtail, is caused by a mutation in the T-box transcription factor T gene. The length of the tail is variable, as many factors play a role in this trait. This is an autosomal dominant trait, and if two copies are inherited the trait is known to be lethal.
