Basepaws, Inc. (“Basepaws”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy describes what information we may collect about you, how we may use and share it, how we protect it, and what choices you have on how that information is used. We may provide third-party content or links to third-party websites or applications, but the inclusion of a link on the Services does not imply endorsement of the linked site or service by us or by our affiliates. What Information We Collect

The type of personal information we collect varies based on the Services provided. Personal information is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual. During a Service, we may collect personal information, including name, home and mobile phone numbers, postal address, email address, payment card and third-party payment services information, date of birth, photographs, images and videos.

Unless specifically requested, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose to us, any sensitive personal information (e.g., information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background).

Your pet’s information is not personal information.

How We Collect Information

We collect personal information directly from you through the Services we provide. For example, you may provide your contact information when you create a Basepaws account on our Website in order to receive information about, or purchase, our products.

Some of our Services allow you to create and post or upload discussions, posts, or messages on Basepaws’ blogs and forums. You should be aware that any information you provide or post in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. Please exercise caution before choosing to share your personal information publicly on our blogs, forums or in any other posting. In addition, we may gather information about you indirectly through your use of the Services. Use of Cookies and Other Similar Technologies

Cookies. https://www.basepaws.com is being monitored by one or more third-party monitoring software(s) (collectively, “Cookies”), and may capture information about your visit that will help us improve the quality of our service. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Services, pages visited, content you view, click on or share, the clickstream patterns and length of time spent on the websites, as well as searches you conduct and your use of a chatbot, language preferences, and other traffic data. We and our service providers use the information for security purposes, to facilitate navigation, to display information more effectively, and to personalize your experience. We also gather statistical information about use of the Services in order to continually improve their design and functionality, understand how they are used, and assist us with resolving questions regarding them. Cookies further allow us to select which of our advertisements or offers are most likely to appeal to you and display them while you are on the Website. Basepaws also uses cookies to help keep track of items you put into your shopping cart including when you have abandoned your cart and this information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS. We may also use Cookies or other technologies in online advertising to track responses to our advertisements. We do not currently respond to browser do-not-track signals.

If you do not want information collected through the use of cookies, most browsers allow you to automatically decline cookies or be given the choice of declining or accepting a particular cookie (or cookies) from a particular website. Pixel tags and other similar technologies

Pixel tags. Pixel tags (also known as web beacons and clear GIFs) may be used to, among other things, track the actions of users of the Services, measure the success of our marketing campaigns, and compile statistics about usage of the Services and response rates.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and analyze information about your use of the Services and report on activities and trends. This service may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps and online resources. Invisible reCAPTCHA. We use Google’s invisible reCAPTCHA application on our Services in order to protect against spam and other automated abuse. The reCAPTCHA tool may make use of Cookies, as well as other information like IP address, date, time, language, screen size and resolution, and mouse movements, while on the page. IP Address. Your IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer by your Internet Service Provider. An IP Address may be identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user accesses the Services, along with the time of the visit and the pages visited. We use IP Addresses for purposes such as calculating usage levels, diagnosing server problems, and administering the Services. We may also derive your approximate location from your IP Address.

Physical Location. We may collect the physical location of your device by, for example, using satellite, cell phone tower or Wi-Fi signals. We may use your device’s physical location to provide you with personalized location-based services and content. We may also share your device’s physical location, combined with information about what advertisements you viewed and other information we collect, with our marketing partners to enable them to provide you with more personalized content and to study the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. We do not knowingly collect any sensitive personal information.

You may be given the option of receiving recurring informational/promotional/marketing e-mails from Basepaws and third parties working with Basepaws. To unsubscribe or opt-out from receiving any informational/promotional material by following the instructions (e.g., click on the unsubscribe link) in the e-mail or included in each program we send to you. Please note that if you opt-out of receiving promotional emails from us, we may still send you important transactional messages, from which you cannot opt-out.

You may make certain changes to your personal information on your own within your account settings.

If you are a Texas resident, you may make the following requests.

  2. You may request to correct inaccuracies in your personal information.

Please note that you may not be able to delete content that has been shared with others through the Services and that you may not be able to delete information that has been shared with third-parties. For your protection, we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.

We will verify and respond to your request consistent with applicable law, taking into account the type and sensitivity of the personal information subject to the request. We may need to request additional personal information from you, such as your email address or account number in order to verify your identity and protect against fraudulent requests. If you make a request to delete, we may ask you to confirm your request before we delete your personal information.

You have the right to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising your rights under applicable law.

Authorized Agents

If an agent would like to make a request on your behalf as permitted by applicable law, the agent may use the submission methods noted in the section entitled “Individual Requests”. As part of our verification process, we may request that the agent provide, as applicable, proof concerning their status as an authorized agent. De-identified Information

Where we maintain or use de-identified information, we will continue to maintain and use the de-identified information only in a de-identified fashion and will not attempt to re-identify the information.

Appeal Process

Third-Party Advertising

We use third-party advertising companies to serve advertisements regarding goods and services that may be of interest to you when you access and use the Services and other websites or online services. These companies place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser (including through the use of pixel tags).
